Celcom Axiata Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Seri Shazalli Ramly received the "ICT Personality of the Year" award at the PIKOM ICT Leadership Awards 2013 in recognition of his success in driving Celcom's excellent growth and performance.
"It is indeed an honour to receive such a coveted award. However this recognition also belongs to Celcom's management and employees, whose untiring commitment and hard work throughout my time here has given much purpose to my role.
"Garnering this award further motivates me to guide Celcom to greater heights supported by a very talented pool of employees across all divisions and the best management team," Shazalli said in a statement.
Shazalli has successfully upped the company's revenue for this year's second quarter, which has surpassed the RM2 billion mark, on top of industry-leading financial indicators.
The award is one of only five top categories in PIKOM's annual awards
