He said the lack of buying due to cautious sentiments, however, was offsetted by sellers' reluctance to sell below US$22,850 a tonne.
"Overall, the market was very quiet," he said.
Meanwhile, tin price on the London Metal Exchange (LME) increased to US$195 to US$22,975 a tonne.
On the local front, bids totalled 24 tonnes against 21 tonnes offered.
Turnover fell to 21 tonnes from 40 tonnes today, with buyers mainly Japanese, Europeans and locals.
The premium between the KLTM and the LME narrowed to US$280 a tonne from US$455 a tonne yesterday.-
